Step 1  - Check to make sure your converter is big enough. If not, a second converter of equal size can be installed in parallel to your converter to double its size.

Step 2  - Make sure your wire is big enough. Use minimum size wire in the chart in section 4, go up at least 1 size every 50 feet.

Step 3  - Check the connection. L1 and L2 should read 220 volts from line to line, and these lines are 120 volts from line to ground.

Step 4  - Check your single phase input voltage. The phase converter output voltage is based on the single phase input voltage. To raise the voltage on your generated phase, add more run capacitors (silver 50 MFD 220 Volts) to the circuit L1 and L3.

Step 5  - You may need a bigger service. Everything may be big enough on your end, but sometimes power company's transformer is not big enough. Call your power company for service.
